Yes Gary, and she also often made clothes for her slaves

I am sitting here with a copy of Fear in North Carolina, and I have been reading what life was like in the Henry family and I am amazed at Cornelia's sewing! It seems that the majority of her life was devoted to making clothes for her family, including those who were in the war.  I have other questions, too, but I'll save them for later.

Looks like a book that I would enjoy reading very much.

Thank you for publishing.

Thanks Tipper. Yes, Karen Clinard and I compiled the book from Cornelia Henry's journals, letters and other historical records. I think you would really enjoy the first hand description of Appalachian home life during the Civil War.
