Dawn, I found my great grandmother Nancy Goldsmiths brother , I believe it was Yancey Goldsmith, living with Nimrod Buckner, who was either his Uncle or his grandfather. Anyway I found that Nimrod's father was one Jesse Buckner, so I know that Jesse Buckner was either my Mary Buckner (Goldsmith)'s father or grandfather..Am I making sense.Anyway I would love to see your record of your Buckner's. My Buckner family came from Northern Buncombe or else Transylvania county.

Dawn I would love to see your ancestry link from Jesse Buckner. I know that my Nancy Goldsmith was either Jesse Buckner and Mary Tatum or Mary Sam's grand daughter or maybe daughter. Sallie..

Hello Dawn,

That is some interesting stuff. Yes, I know a lot of these "stories" that are not so nice. Families around here have their share of infighting. I'd love to know more about how your Garren's are connected to mine but I think it goes back to when Transylvania was part of Henderson County. Anyway, I'd love to see your book when you finish.

I'm working on several different things that might be of interest to you.

Thanks,
Terrell

Are you related to the McCalls in Henderson County? I've studied lots of Civil War records. There must be at least forty, maybe fifty McCalls in the Confederate Army.
