I have been to two of the morning lectures offered by the Warren Wilson MFA this month (January 2010) and was blown away. This is exactly the kind of readings I have been looking for; rich and technical, with as much philosophy as craft. I have always wanted to be a part of this kind of dicsussion with other writers. It's very generous of the college to open these lectures to the public. I'm looking forward to the rest of the series.
Who among you in the Asheville area would like to continue the conversation along these lines? (i, e., NOT critiquing each other's work but instead looking closely at text from favourite authors and examining questions of craft through reading)
Okay, you guys who scurry off to the parking lot after the lectures, you know who you are!
Contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org or meet me in the parking lot after the lecture. I'm the redhead in the green parka.
