This book was written after meeting several first-time authors (many of whom are self published) who were struggling to sell their book.
What I learned during my tour with In the Garden with Billy: Lessons About Life, Love & Tomatoes is that first-time authors, eager to see their name in print...often purchase thousands of copies of their work in advance. This isn't necessary, or cost effective. What's worse, many times their books don't feature identifiers that distributors need in order to order their books. (Hint: An ISBN isn't enough).
Then the author becomes frustrated when they can't sell their work. This is why I wrote Stress-free Marketing, with the hopes that authors can understand the marketing side of the writing business.
