Thomas Wolfe Memorial Literary Award

The Western North Carolina Historical Association is currently accepting nominations for the Thomas Wolfe Memorial Literary Award.  Originated by the Lipinsky family, and funded by Mrs. JoAnn L. Edwinn, the Award has been presented annually, since 1955,  for printed works that focus special attention on Western North Carolina.

Walking "Mary's Way" with Peggy Tabor Millin

In 1989 Peggy Tabor Millin joined a group of non-Catholics on a journey to Medjugorje, Bosnia, where the Virgin Mary had been appearing to a group of young people since 1981.
