Too much to do and not enough time to write

I manage along with Kay Byer, the Netwest Writers site and two personal blogs, the latest being The Way I See It,and I find myself up at three in the AM on the computer.Blogs can be addictive. I don't just mean the writing but the reading of so many others.I don't know how people do it all and have any other life. Now I've tried Facebook, I'm told we need a Facebook page for Netwest.…See More

Netwest to be featured in article in Smoky Mountain News

I was interviewed by Christi of A & E department of Smoky Mountain News for an article to be published in this Wednesday's newspaper. Those of you who live in Haywood, Jackson, Macon and Swain counties should look for it.

A free lance writer asked for an interview for WNC magazine and this article about my writing class at John C. Campbell Folk School in January is her main topic.

For years we've worked to get out the news about NCWN West but using newspapers in western NC to publicize our events was difficult. Many of the weekly papers will not print anything that does not pertain to their county. A Netwest event held in Macon county would get no press in Clay or Cherokee counties.

Netwest has approximately 80 members throughout 9 NC counties south west of Asheville. Any member of NCWN who lives in this area automatically becomes a member of Netwest.
We look forward to more writers throughout the area becoming aware of Netwest and what this writing group can do for the literary community in western NC.
