In the mid-70s on Hilton Head Island, SC, a friend and I had the photo concession at the Hyatt Regency. Our darkroom and studio there had the only color lab on the Island. As a result, during that spring's World Invitational Tennis Classic, I got to meet famed tennis photog John Russell. When he returned to the Island later that summer to shoot Bjorn Borg and Evonne Goolagong Cawley for Fila and several other lines of tenniswear and equipment, I got to assist him. This shot is one of my outtakes from the shoot. John's went on to grace the pages of dozens of magazines.
