It is good to know about Bellebooks. I have not heard of them before. I have two books out for young adults. The latest one titled The Crystal Swan just came out in March of this year. If you know of anyone who writes reviews for children's books and would be willing to review it, please let me know and I will get them a copy. Thanks.

Hmmm - I'm not sure. He can always check out the website and see - I think they are branching out a bit as to genre fiction, but I don't know if they do sci fi or not!

Does BelleBooks publish science fiction? I'm asking because Ben Eller writes science fiction and is looking for a publisher. I think his current work has been accepted by a publisher in Florida called Fireside.

Hi Gary! They publish "southern fiction" - their "motto" is "southern fried fiction" *laugh*....
From their website:
In the fall of 1999, a group of veteran Southern authors -- having published more than one hundred novels of their own with some of the biggest publishing houses in the country -- decided to start their own small press to showcase the rich storytelling traditions of Southern writers. And so BelleBooks was created.

BelleBooks is based in Atlanta, Georgia with additional offices in Memphis, Tennessee and Saltillo, Mississippi. The company motto is "Southern Fried Fiction At Its Finest." Quality, integrity, and innovation— both as publishers and as writers—guide the company’s four dedicated directors .

- here's their website address: http://www.bellebooks.com/

Kathryn,
Where is Belle Books? What is the significance of the name? What type of fiction do they normally publish?

Christine - it is hard, isn't it? I'm going to have to corral my chaos and have some kind of "schedule" so I'm not flitting all jittery all over the place. I will need to let some places go, I recognize. This will not be one of them! *smiling*

Thank you, Rob, for getting Livingston Press on the list so promptly.

This group and this website are terrific resources. I'll try to be a good (better) citizen about posting here; like a lot of other people, I have a hard time keeping up with my (new) online life, but I do believe in its value.

Since I had breakfast with Ben Eller this morning, we discussed his puzzling post that disappeared on this site, and he came by my house afterwards and posted the comment again below on my computer. I just wanted to be sure that it finally got there.

Rob,
Great site. I appreciate you work on our behalf.
I have a novel "The Cleansing" (sci fi) that will be published by Fireside publishing in the next month or so. Was runner-up in Fireside's mystery/thriller 2008 novel contest. Any advice, comments, suggestions on promotion etc. is welcome.
