Daoud Hari, a Darfur native and spokesperson, came to Mars Hill College (Aug. 31 and Sept. 1), and now he has gone, having made a big impact. His book, The Translator
, describes, with impressive courage, simplicity, and storytelling power, what is happening in Sudan; and how he, as guide and translator for international agencies and media, has tried to stop the atrocity.

This forum is for us to inform ourselves and each other; ask questions about what we do next; and try to do something next. China is arming the minority Sudan government, which is slaughtering and expelling the Darfuri. Oil, water, and land are the prizes. The U.N. and U.S. have not been very active.
We also have the ability to bring in people from outside this region into the discussion.
