Event Description

Tommy Hays, executive director of the Great Smokies Writing Program at UNCA, hosts this event featuring Vievee Francis and Molly Walling, two distinguished writers who will join the Great Smokies faculty for the spring semester of 2013. Vievee Francis is the author of two books of poetry, Blue-Tail Fly and Horse in the Dark, and is an associate editor for Callaloo. Molly Walling has taught children as well as college and university students at a variety of institutions that include UNC-Asheville and Mars Hill College, among others. She recently published her book of creative nonfiction, Death in the Delta: Uncovering a Mississippi Family Secret. This event is free and open to the public.
