Most of us by now have heard of our government's economic stimulus program, well Richard Krawiec, editor of the sound of poets cooking, disturbed by cuts in funding for arts programs, became inspired by the concept of the stimulus program and created a grass roots economic stimulus effort for poetry workshops! the sounds of poets cooking, his compilation of poetry and recipes is not only a delight unto itself, it also is an opportunity to support writers and emerging writers. The proceeds from sales fund poetry workshops that are offered free to the community and there is an application in the back of the book for poets who wish to offer workshops. Join us for a discussion of The Sound of Poets Cooking, an anthology featuring recipes and poems from five dozen poets. Readers include Debra Kaufman, Pat Riviere-Seel, Michael Beadle, and Richard Krawiec and food will be provided. Come join the fun, but be aware, if you eat like a poet, you might write like a poet...
