Jay Erskine, author of Stand Up That Mountain: The Battle to Save One Small Community in the Wilderness Along the Appalachian Trail (now out in paperback), delighted his first Malaprop’s audience with his storytelling ability and accounts of memorable characters (both heroes and villains) drawn from real life. Trained as an attorney, he has become a leading voice for state and federal conservation funding for investment in public lands, and he is a Trustee for the Southern Appalachian Highlands Conservancy. Join us as Jay Erskine Leutze returns, this time for conversation with D.J. Gerken, Managing Attorney at the Southern Environmental Law Center’s Asheville office.
This event is free and open to the public.
