Event Description

Award-winning author and former North Carolina Poet Laureate, Fred Chappell will read at The Fountainhead Bookstore on Monday, September 13 at 3:00 p.m. An imaginitive and powerful writer, Mr. Chappell will read from Shadow Box and Backsass (both published by Lousiana State University) as well as some of his earlier works. Known for his ever-popular novel Brighten the Corner Where You Are, his newest book is Ancestors and Others: New and Selected Stories. Come early to ensure a seat.
