A diverse trio of authors will read from and sign their recent books. Katherine Scott Crawford will present Keowee Valley, her novel set on the southern frontier inhabited by the powerful Cherokee people -- a book praised by bestselling author Pat Conroy for Crawford’s “lovely prose style, [and] great sense of both humor and history. . . she tells about a time in South Carolina that I never even imagined.” Joseph Cutshall-King will read from The Burning of the Piping Rock, a tale set against the backdrop of the 1949-51 effort to destroy the hubs of organized crime in America.
